Scarfing Down a Bowl Full of Cherries

Scarfing Down a Bowl Full of Cherries

I was doing as I often do--stroll through the yarns at my local Joann Fabric store.  This variegated red skein (labeled Bowl of Cherries) held my scanning eye.  I did not have a clear idea of what I would do with it.  I also knew that had no bearing on my decision to purchase it.  And, if I am being honest with myself, the yarn would become a scarf.

Scarf [definition]:  a length or square of fabric worn around the neck or head.

That seems so basic for an accessory I love. My closet brims with a variety: silky, narrow, cotton, colorful, skull-covered, striped, polka-dotted.  I wear them with tee-shirts and fancy blouses.  They are used for warmth, for protection from a sudden rain shower, or just to add a little pizzazz to my daily doings.

Is your scarf out of necessity or style?  It can be both of course!
